What I Wore Wednesday/Real Mom Style

It snowed!  Living in the South, it is VERY rare that we ever get enough snow to actually play in, but we did!! It's been at least 2 years since our last decent snow fall!  This is the outfit (minus my coat) that I wore to keep me warm while Ainsley and I made our snowman!

While the snow was nice and all, I am SO ready for spring!  We keep getting these teaser days where it will be 60 and sunny followed by a week of highs in the 40's! Ugh!

3 Month Update

She's kinda gigantic!

I can't believe my little Harper Shay is 3 months old already!  She has such a big personality and makes each day 1000 times better!  Here are a few things that she has been up to lately!

• Roughly 14lbs!
• She is the smiley-est baby and has given us a giggle here and there
• She has great head control
• She recognizes us and smiles when she sees us (also she stares intently at me constantly)
• She can roll from stomach to back
• She can push up on her hands
• She bats and reaches for toys, faces, and everything else that is in front of her
• Pretty sure she is teething already! Her hands stay in her mouth, sometimes both at the same time, and she is drooling like crazy!
• She has slept through the night several times.  We swaddle her and if she doesn't wiggle free, she will sleep sometimes from 9pm-6am.  However, if her arms come out of the swaddle she generally wakes herself up somewhere around 3am and is up again at 6.  She is also still sleeping in her bassinet beside my bed.  I plan on moving her to her room when she is sleeping through the night consistently and can sleep soundly out of her swaddle!

Him: Smelly brown shoes (btw they aren't smelly, they just have really dirty soles and make my feet black! I guess that's not much better!)

Normalcy

           

These two!  I mean melt my heart already will ya!

I apologize for my prolonged absence from the blogging world!  Apparently is takes roughly three months for me to get back into the swing of things!  Slowly but surely we are getting there.  We made it to church this past Sunday and even added in a 3 week basketball program for Ainsley!  Now if that isn't progress I don't know what is!  It's funny to watch her at practice because she is the only girl there yet still manages to out play most of the boys! (Which isn't really saying much, they are only 5 years old!)  

It's crazy to think that is has been three months since our little Harper was born!  She has gotten so big, so fast!  And Ainsley, I mean seriously, she went from my little girl to such a big sister.  She is wonderful with Harper and loves her to pieces!  My how blessed we are!

So, thankfully, I am finding my new "normal" and will be able to keep the updates coming on a more regular basis!
