Birthday Birthday!

Soooo, in case you were wondering ('cause you totally were) July is my birthday month!  We take birthdays very seriously around here and celebrate the entire month! So, I decided to start this month off right!  Since I will be turning 27, you can get 27% off any ad space or package for the entire month of July!

Life has been pretty crazy around here lately!  Between taking care of the girls, creating new styles for the shop and fulfilling orders, school (yuck), and housework (double yuck) my days are a blur!  All too often, I find myself putting off the little things, like stopping to play one more game with Ainsley or getting on the floor with Harper for another 10 minutes.  Pretty soon I will be adding homeschooling to that list of daily things and before I get completely consumed, I need to start taking time to really enjoy those little things.  Not that I don't enjoy them, because they are some of the happiest of times, but I find myself rushing them a bit to make sure I can fit everything in!  They are only little once, and though these may seem like little things to me right now, they are actually the biggest things because to them they are everything!

That's enough rambling for today, time to go play go fish, Lalaloopsy style!

I loved our inspiration pin for the mixture of the dainty lace top with the leather jacket and booties.  I learned my lesson last week with the blazer and decided not to go with leggings, but I added a black braided belt instead.

7 Months

Another month down!  It's going too fast!

New this month:

>> You are officially on the go!  You have been scooting for a while now, but you have finally figured out how to get your arms and legs to work together!  You are more of a sprinter, taking lots and lots of breaks but you get where you are going!

>> You tried blueberries for the first time and loved them!

>> You also had chicken, well you pretty much eat what we eat.  You NEVER get full!

>> You have two bottom teeth and are working on your top

>> We are still nursing around 4-5 times a day

I just wanted to stop in really quick to say hello!  I have a four page paper due today and I only have about half a page! Ahh! So of course the right thing to do would be to procrastinate all day by going thrifting and follow that up by writing a blog post!

I just wanted to share a little video of my gremlin baby!  This happens every time she eats, and sometimes just for fun!

Sleep (or the lack of)

First, let me start off by saying that I am NOT a morning person!  When someone says they wake up at 7 or 8 in the morning, I cringe!  Don't get me wrong, when I had a job outside of the home, I did what most people do and rolled my butt out of bed at an ungodly hour, but I was not happy about it! 

You would think that having two children I would be a little more accustomed to waking early...you would think.  However, Ainsley is what we call "an Andrews".  You see, Scott and his family are night owls, even his 66 year old Mom stays up late!  In turn, this means they like to sleep in.  So, we got lucky with Ainsley in that she would sleep until at least 9am when she was a toddler.  People were amazed when I would tell them this!

Well.....fast forward 5 years and now we have little Harper. She not only looks more like my side of the family but unfortunately has inherited their sleep habits!  My parents consider "sleeping in" like 8:30, insane, I know!  Well, this has become Harper's sleep pattern.  She likes to go to be early (again not something we are used to) and she likes to get up veery early!  If you follow me on Instagram you probably saw where Harper was wide awake at 7:30, what you didn't see, was my zombie of a self laying next to her!

Since I am not a morning person, I tend to stay up waaay too late.  Again, something I should have learned by now! However, I tend to be a fairly stubborn person.  Well, last night, I did it again, only this time, Harper's incoming teeth really screwed up her (and my) sleep.  Which means, today I am running on fumes (if you couldn't tell from all of the rambling and this somewhat pointless post!)

If I have to get up at the crack of dawn, at least I am greeted with this sweet face!

 I had so much fun putting this outfit together, it really got me to look at my closet in a new way!  This is actually a dress that I put a shirt over!  To be completely honest, it was a few too many layers for NC this time of year, but would be perfect for early Spring!

So I just realized that in two short months, this little blog o'mine will be one year old! I also realized that ,while I share too many lots of pictures, I haven't really shared much about myself!

 I thought I would share 10 things about myself that you may or may not know! (Contain your excitement!)

>> I am a southpaw 

>> I have a birthmark on my neck that looks like a hickey. I have been asked my entire life (yes, even in elementary school!) if it was, NO it's not!

>> I can usually listen to a song about two times through and know 95% of the words to that song.  It's a really useful skill to have I tell ya!

>> I met my husband when I was 17 and he was 20

>> I am pursuing my BA in Interior Design

>> I sometimes wish I would have pursued Clothing Design

>> Scott says that I am the weirdest person he knows

>> I could listen to Motown all day every day

>> My thumbs are completely different, weird I know!

>> I have 4 tattoos, and yes, I regret them!

I know you are SO happy you wasted five minutes of your day to learn more about me!

Our Weekend in Pictures

We had a great weekend (minus a few bumps on Sunday, but the day ended well so that's all that matters)!  

Friday and Saturday were spent at the pool! I took the girls by myself Saturday, and let's just say I won't be doing that again!  Talk about one paranoid Mama!

This bathing suit makes me laugh!

Our little Fish, she could stay in the water all day!

This one on the other hand, seemed to prefer the shade and her toys! (See how this could get difficult for one person to monitor!)

We also took a much needed trip to the Farmer's Market.  I have been making pretty much all of Harper's food, I have ended up buying a few jars for when I am in a pinch.  So, I am constantly in need of fresh fruits and veggies, and what better place to get them and support our local farmers! Plus, it's always fun to just get out and walk around! 

The colors were so vibrant!

So that was our weekend summed up in a few pictures!  I hope you all had an awesome weekend as well!
